Stevens Advantage is pleased to announce a new release of A-tech colors for their laboratory casework line. Designers of education spaces can achieve the timeless look of wood casework, while harnessing the durability and longevity of A-tech laminates. The new additions to the A-tech series round out a collection that includes an array of solids and woodgrains for classic palates, as well as fresh colors to complement contemporary designs. Each laminate has been tested to Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA) 8.0 standards.

Pat Gibbons, Stevens Advantage Dealer Sales Manager, commented, “Stevens has embraced technological advances in surface construction. A-tech is an ideal option for laboratory casework. We provide customers with options that are durable and environmentally responsible, without sacrificing style. Expanding the color offering in this resilient surface option has been in response to design and education professionals desire to fully utilize Stevens Advantage in their projects.”

Stevens Advantage team members explain the many advantages to choosing A-tech surfacing for laboratory cabinetry. A-tech surface is engineered thermoset resin surfacing, embossed and thermofused in solid colors and woodgrain finishes simulating wood veneers. It creates a non-porous, moisture resistant face homogeneous to the core, not susceptible to separation or delamination, and having moisture and chemical resistance. The material demonstrates performance superior to typical wood finishes on the market, and is ideal for educational and commercial laboratory environments. This durable option provides the look of wood veneer laboratory cabinets without the high cost.

Stevens Advantage is produced by Stevens Industries, Inc., a 100 percent employee-owned business. Stevens is one of the largest manufacturers of architectural casework and millwork in the United States. The company has a thriving panels and components division, along with lines of education furniture and modular cabinetry.
